What sort of level of Success are you enjoying with your business? How does your performance relate to your potential, could you shift higher? Should you be raising the heat on your business? Have you perhaps been pushing too hard and at the same time wishing you were achieving objectives more easily with better fruits to show? With the summer heat rolling in here in Sydney temperatures are rising, and although some of us love that others find it oppressive and unbearable. what sort of place do put yourself in there? When temperatures soar and heat levels hit unbearable heights what kind of measures are you able to take in their regard?

Usually the outlet in these circumstances is to vent off the feelings and emotions to the nearest person, basically in the form of a complaint which does very little except share the negativity. A further minority of people will stretch themselves a bit further, opting to get a fan or air-con going, the air-con indeed is going to be less environmentally friendly for sure though slightly off the point I’m making. When these people actually reach out for a fan or the air-con these people can be seen to be taking action in order to solve an issue affecting their business and their life, as such if you are able to take action to solve one issue bothering you with your business or your life then would it be good to resolve all issues in your life and business, yes? If you have awareness of any issues generating too much ‘heat’ for your business then to resolve those issues creating a ‘cooler’ more smoothly running and comfortable business is definitely good, the question really is how. Well within every issue are the seeds of opportunity and of course latent solutions waiting to be acted upon in order to create the more comfortable business conditions that you seek, how easy they are to find and acted upon is another matter. Securing solutions from ‘outside the box’ holds difficulties of its own though if you are truly creative and able to get your mind in freeform when facing challenges, seeing numerous perspectives from new vantage points can bring you an abundance of ideas to work with when you are set to augment your current methods. Of course this is where having a good Business Coach is of high value to the success seeking business person, sure you could work these things through yourself and pour over the detail to create solutions to do so is very inefficient for you though. By using the problem solving capabilities of a Business Coach that works through differing viewpoints and solutions, especially if they’re trained in NLP, you achieve solutions required for the challenges far faster and so allowing you to spend more time achieving great successes by working on your business. Definately within my time in Sydney Business Coaching I have worked with some great entrepreneurs that wanted to alter the way they perceived the ‘heat’ in their respective markets, overall the metaphorical air-con delivered to the business practices they operate has been paying them strong dividends in excess of their investment, naturally everyone gains improved performance when their environmental conditions are more conducive to comfort. So how are you going to alter your environmental conditions to allow your business to perform better, and are you ready to make the big strides forward that are possible with a Business Coach.

If you work in Sydney and realise a Business Coach is the next step for you now, even if you are further afield than Sydney and require someone to work with via Skype or phone in terms of Business Coaching sessions then contact me now and begin enhancing the way your business performs.

Mankind has always set a high value on gold and gold bullion in particular has always been much in demand as it represents an excellent way of investing your money in a stable manner – with chances of its appreciating being better than it’s depreciating in value. Gold as everyone knows is available in different forms including in pure as well as in tainted form and it can also be of a color that is different than its usual gold color.

Why Invest In Gold Bullion Bar?

It pays to understand what makes people want to invest in gold bullion bars. As you may already know there are some good reasons for buying gold bullion bars and these include that it makes for an excellent investment strategy and it also helps to create added wealth. In comparison to the decreasing value of money the price of gold bullion bars increases so it is good to invest money on them.

A good example of why it pays to purchase gold bullion bars is seen in what happened at the end of the Second World War in Germany where recession caused the German currency to lose all it’s worth. Gold however remained safe though before buying gold bullion bars makes sure to buy appropriate amounts and that you should also try and not buy more gold bullion bars than the amount of cash that you have in your possession and you must also not try and convert all your stocks into gold bullion bars.

A good investment strategy is definitely one that includes purchasing of gold bullion bars and furthermore you should only buy as much as is safe to invest and to also be sure that what you invest will provide sufficiently good returns and which will also ensure greater financial stability. Gold bullion is easily found and so is a safe bet and above that it has been used in estimating the wealth of different countries.

As long as you do not buy more gold bullion bars than you can afford this is the best investment option that will stand you in good stead at all times. The purchase of gold bullion bars depends on the needs and purchasing power of the person.

In these present trying financial times you should do your best to find out why buying gold bullion makes sound financial sense. It does not require being an economist to realize that purchase of gold bullion ensures that you can be protected against financial calamities and you can also safeguard the value of your currency.

The importance of money management in trading simply cannot be stressed enough. In fact, without trade money management, your chances of success are extremely slim.

As any experienced trader can attest to, it takes a considerable amount of determination and discipline in order to be successful in the markets. Furthermore, don’t be misled into thinking successful traders were born with their skills, because they weren’t. They had to learn those skills just like everyone else. I couldn’t agree more with Dr Van Tharp, a respected trading guru, when he says successful trading is all in the mind.

If I told you that cutting losses and allowing profits to run is the golden rule of trading, you’d more than likely say it’s obvious. Yes, while it may be obvious, it’s certainly not easy to follow, especially when you’re down. In fact, one could almost say that it’s human nature to do the exact opposite by allowing your losses to run, in the hope that circumstances will change. It’s during times like this where one truly learns about the benefits of psychology.

You need to be capable of going against the grain if you’re to win in trading.

Admittedly, there are thousands of ideal trade entries and equally as many money making opportunities in the markets but unfortunately, without a solid system in place, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Likewise, your system needs to be structured around effective trade money management in order to protect your capital. While systems may be 100% accurate in a perfect world, we don’t live in a perfect world so essentially, one bad loss to see you loose everything in the absence of money management.

Given the extreme importance of trade money management, I would’ve expected to see many courses dedicating whole chapters to the subject and yet I’ve never seen one that does.

The fact is, there are plenty of stories which can attest to the importance trade money management so I’m obviously not the only one who knows about this. It’s just unfortunate that so little is said about it because trade money management needs to be applied, irrespective of what market you’re involved in, or which method you choose to use. The bottom line is; there are simply no exceptions to the rule, regardless of the system you use.

Trust me, knowing these trade money management rules, or trading rules, is one thing, but actually applying them is a different ball game altogether. In fact, if your trading is not going quite as well as you’d hoped for, my guess is that a lack of discipline is to blame, with regards to money management in trading.

Irrespective of where you are with your trading, you only need to implement one change, and the result of that change will see you raking in profits.

Essentially, you need to thoroughly understand what you’re doing and also why you’re doing it. Having a rock solid system in place means you’ll no longer be dependent on gurus and tips as a source of information.

Essentially, you need to be confident that when you decide to enter into a trade, you have a well thought out exit strategy in place, and that risks have been tailored accordingly with regards to your risk tolerance. This not only allows you to manage your portfolio in as little as five minutes each day, but it also ensures you can sleep peacefully at night.

I can assure you, each and every one of your trading goals is achievable, providing you use solid trade money management. While the aim of this article is to introduce money management to traders, my upcoming articles will take a more in-depth look and in my opinion, if you follow them, you will be able to master the markets with trade money management.

U.S. Savings Bonds have several types, and values of $ 25 up to $ 10,000. Bonds heretofore were bought at half the face value, and accrued interest until a maturity date, when they’d be worth face value or better. For instance, a $ 50 bond can be purchased for $ 25 and attain a reasonable value of $ 50 somewhere down the line. It was a nice gift for babies because by the time they graduated high school the bond would have matured and the young adult could cash it in for face value. Bonds, given as gifts, are a nice sentiment an are nifty gifts kids can hold onto. In fact, bonds are one of the only securities which can be held in a minor’s name.

How savings bonds gain value

The way in which and the rate at which bonds gain value has changed in recent years. Generally, the most common type of bond is the Series EE Bond, also known as the Patriot Bond after 2001. There was no real change to the bond’s value only a name change printed on the front denoting a more patriotic meaning. Before May 2005, bonds accrued interest at variable rates based on treasury yields over a 5 year time span. So, bonds could accumulate value faster or slower depending on when they were purchased and how the economy did over time. After May 1, 2005, bonds are assigned a fixed rate at the time of purchase. If you own bonds and want to know their value you can check on the TreasuryDirect.gov website which has a calculator program. All you do is type in the type of bond, face value, and the month/year purchase date and the calculator will show you the current value of that bond.

How to redeem bonds

Bonds are easy to redeem at almost any financial institution. Make sure you have proper ID and you simply sign it, and get the cash. That all said, there are tax issues to contemplate. Interest earned on the bond is taxable in the year it’s redeemed. Parents can cash in bonds for their children with a little more paperwork, as they do have to verify they are the parents and have legal custody. It’s beyond easy.

Are bonds the best gift for the children?

It’s true that bonds can be issued in a child’s name, they have a patriotic look, and are safe investments. That said, if you look at the interest bonds are earning, there could be better things to do with your investment in your child’s future. Typically, bonds purchased after 2001 with variable interest rates earn an average annual yield of between 1.6% and 2.5%. The fixed rate bonds purchased after May 2005 fare no better. If you took that $ 50 to $ 100 and put it in a mutual fund, the return could triple in the short run, and out perform the bond when the child is growing up. Granted, the mutual fund would be in an adult’s name, lose the patriotic feel, and does have risk involved. However, you have to ask what is best for the child: a nifty piece of paper or more money for college?

Master the counter intuitive notion of the trading stop goes hand in hand with turning a profit. Fail with one and you’re bound to fail with the other as well.

Whether you’ve experienced it yet or not, all traders at some point make the mistake of holding on too long. The important thing to remember is, even the biggest loss starts out as a small loss and I think we’d all agree that small losses are better than big losses. The trick is, by placing initial stops, we are able to catch a loss before it starts spiraling out of control. As any experienced trader will attest to, the bigger a loss gets, the more challenging it becomes to apply a trade stop.

Basically, a trading stop is a predetermined exit point. When a specific trade fails to perform has you’d anticipated, a trading stop is the point at which you pull out of the trade. Remember, trading is vulnerable to various trends and we can never be 100% certain as to when a trend will change. For all you know, you may enter into a trade just as the trend is about to change, thus the need for a predefined exit point. In other words, if the price drops below a predetermined limit, you exit.

When a particular trade starts heading south, we almost can’t help ourselves from wanting to hold on for too long, hence the importance of being able to make decisions which are counter intuitive.

Richard Harding described a trading stop perfectly when he compared it to a red light saying, “You don’t have to stop, but you’d be a fool not to”.

A question which is commonly asked by traders when they first hear about the concept of an initial stop is, how wide should a stop be set at. The truth is, because it depends primarily on the time frame being traded, there is simply no one single answer.

For the most part, traders who focus on short term trading tend to set their initial stop close to the price while traders involved with longer term trading tend to allow more room for movement. The important thing is, once you’ve identified the time frame of your trade, you need to ignore any movements which are considered normal with that particular time frame. The last thing you want to do is end up closing out simply because of some normal trading fluctuation. Remember, a certain amount of movement is normal and is to be expected.

When a trader sets an initial stop just below the original trade entry price it’s known as a tight stop. The downside of a tight stop is that it can bring about a premature exit when a small drop occurs. Essentially, this could see you leave a trade even before the market has had any time to recover. The opposite applies to a loose trade which has been set to allow for more movement. While a loose stop does carry some risk of a bigger loss, it also allows some time for trade prices to recover.

Essentially, tight trading stops should be avoided if at all possible. Firstly, they could well result in you being closed out prematurely on a regular basis, thus making your trade system unreliable. Secondly, they increase overall transaction costs significantly. Traders with a small float in particular, should avoid tight stops simply because of the astronomical brokerage which is almost inevitable.

Because stops are looser on long term trades than they are on short term trades, I nearly always advise my clients to opt for a trading system with a slightly longer time frame.

I think most professional traders already know the secret of a perfect trade entry, but it’s the newbies who insist on searching for the Holy Grail of trading. Well, you need look no further because the secret of a perfect trading entry is that there’s simply no such thing as a perfect trading entry. Unfortunately, you’re never going to find that perfect magical indicator that tells you when to get in and when to get out.

For your own sake, please believe me when I tell you, perfect indicators don’t exist in the real world.

What is it that drives people to believing that it does exist?

When asked for his opinion as to why many traders, novices in particular, believe in such a thing as a perfect trade entry, Van Tharp makes the following suggestion: Novice traders have a tendency to believe that if they’re actually involved in the selection and entry into a trade, they have a certain amount of control over the way the markets behave. Likewise, this highly respected trading guru points out that these novice traders have something in common with all those people who choose lottery numbers which in some way are connected to their personal lives, be it their birth date, or be it an anniversary date.

Using numbers derived from all those meaningful occasions tends to give punters a sense of being in control. To the contrary, no matter how important they feel their numbers are, those numbers have the same chance of winning as do any amount of combinations. The only difference is, there’s an emotional connection between those punters and the numbers they choose and for that reason alone, they feel they have the upper hand. This is the same phenomenon experienced by so many traders with regards to a trade entry.

What you need to realise is, you are in total control of your circumstances when you enter into a trade. Only you can decide whether or not you should proceed or back away. On the other end of the scale, once you’ve actually entered into a trade, you have absolutely zero control over the way the market behaves.

Interestingly enough, the amount of money you rake in from a trade isn’t determined by when you buy your stock, but rather, it’s determined by how much you put in and when you exit.

A good example of this is:

Two traders are interested in buying the same stock and both use identical stock trading systems, meaning they’ll both buy their stock at per share and they’ll both sell when the shares hit per share. The only difference is that while trader number one only has 00, trader two has ,000. Trader number one will of course be able to buy 100 shares and providing he sells when they reach , he’ll make 0 profit. Trader number two on the other hand is able to buy 500 shares and as a result, when he sells at per share, his profit will be 00

So, as you can see in the example above, the amount of money you make is determined primarily by how much you invest initially, and not by your trade entry. This is in fact the very foundation of good trading money management.

The post “credit-crunch” stock trading environment has become a tough, unpredictable place where profits are hard to generate. The market’s volatility can play havoc with investor’s wealth creation.

It is more important than ever that investors seek and use advice to locate the stock trading online site most appropriate for them – one that offers a wide range of research tools and also has market credibility.

It is important to stay positive about the state of the current market – there is still money to be made. Investors with sufficient courage will emerge as the winners from this situation. Discovering how to make profits from stock trading needs a lot more than a simple search – it requires detailed and thorough research and an investment of your time and hard work.

When looking for the best online stock trading site, you should consider:

1. Is it user friendly? A good stock trading system is easy to use and should have a very simple learning curve. Sometimes seconds matter in trading, so having a trading system that’s awkward or unwieldy to use can lose you money.

2. Word of mouth. What are your friends and other traders saying about stock trading systems out there. Hit up a few discussion rooms or bulletin boards before you make a choice of who to go with to avoid picking the wrong system.

3. Fees. It’s hard enough to make a profit these days without having it eaten up by system fees and commissions. Make sure you understand the fee structure and any extra or hidden costs before purchasing a system.

4. Tutorials. For starting investors, a good explanation of the various buying and selling options and other trading terminology can make a big difference and prevent a lot of newbie errors. An exceptional trading system will supply you with a fast and easy reference that you can use to look up concepts that you are not familiar with.

5. Results. How have others benefited from using the system. Can the system provide you with documented results of its success? If the answer’s no, you may want to consider another system.

Despite the doom and gloom, significant market opportunities exist for investors who use proven market tools, such as a site with a good track record and trading tips from a reputable source. The first step is to do your research and be familiar with the resources that you require. The second is to put your plan into action. Get ready for the rewards to come.

Back testing software is extremely important for the analyzing of trade systems. This is a process of testing out a particular trading strategy through the utilization of past date, instead of using real money and taking risks in real time. This is a way in which people can tell the way in which a strategy would work if it had been done in the past. This will give a trader the information he or she needs to determine whether or not it will be a feasible trading strategy.

What it will tell you however, is whether or not you even want to give that trading strategy a second thought. It will even tell you what you can expect if you choose to go ahead and try the strategy.

One thing to ask yourself is whether or not you will be able to examine the progress of a system over a period of time. You can do this, either by yourself, or with the use of a piece of software. Frankly, it is best to do this with a piece of software, as doing it manually is very time consuming, and it is difficult to tell whether or not your results are actually accurate.

The benefits derived from back testing software cannot be underestimated. It will save you time and provide an endless opportunity to fine-tune and test your system. A small outlay in capital to purchase good back testing software will potentially save you thousands in the market; it is a very wise investment if you are considering designing a successful and mechanical trading system.

Mechanical Back Testing

Back testing will work well if your mechanical trading system is able to work with price date.

Here is an example of a rule that you might want to use with your mechanical system:

Purchase the security when the ten day moving average that is grouped with the closing price goes pas the thirty day average.

Using this rule with historical data, it can be tested out fairly easily. If you buy signal rule however, it will be a bit more complicated:

With a signal rule you purchase a security with the same rules as before, but the PE ratio is actually below it’s standard value in the last three months.

This rule introduces data that is not often supplied or maintained in a database of price information. To successfully back test this would involve obtaining historical data of a security as well as the price-to-earnings ratio (PE ratio). Typically, historical data on a group of equities would only include the open, high, low, close and volume for each period. Because of this limitation, many mechanical trading systems are designed around purely price technical indicators.

Unfortunately most mechanical trading system based on fundamental data is beyond the scope of retail investors due to the lack of historical data available to conduct a complete back test.

Back Testing Software

As luck would have it, the majority of chartering packages these days have back testing software included. In the chapter preceding this one, there was a process for choosing a good chartering package, and so long as you followed it to the letter, you likely found one that either has it’s own back testing features, or at least one that is compatible with other back testing software.

If you’re looking for a decent piece of software, you should definitely have a look at TradeSim. It can help you back test and check out a trading system with relative ease. Regardless of whether or not you’re dealing with a single security, or an entire portfolio.

I believe back testing is the only way to remove self-doubt. Once you have established that you have a reliable and robust trading system only then will you be confident in trading it.

Similarly to your charting software, make sure you know your back testing software back to front to make your trading system work. You won’t be able to get the best out of it unless you fully understand how it works and what you can do with it.

Opening a 401k account means that you’ll need to learn about how to make contributions to the account, and which contributions are best for your current and future investments. Finding out how to negotiate 401k contributions will not only help you to save money, but could help you to better prepare for your financial future after you’ve retired.

One of the most significant 401k contributions is the one that your employer makes to your account. Your employer should match a portion of the funds that you’ve been depositing into your 401k, and all the funds will be tax-deferred. As an employee, you will be adding to your account by voluntarily giving a part of your paycheck to the fund each month. All of the funds, from both you and your employer, will generally not be available to you until you are 59 1/2. If you have to take the money out before then for any reason, you will be charged a penalty fee.

If you don’t already have a 401k plan at your place of employment, you should definitely talk to your human resources department about this as soon as possible. You can make your request more attractive by pointing out that there are tax benefits for companies that make 401k contributions, and the plan is very easy to set up. Of course, when employees know they have 401k accounts, they are much more likely to be loyal to the company, since they feel more secure about investing in an organization that will help to secure their livelihood, even after they are no longer working full-time.

If your 401k plan has a vesting program, you’ll need to negotiate your contributions in this regard as well. If you’re new to the company you’re working with now, your negotiation should be based on the years of experience you bring to the job field overall. If you have an account that permits early vesting for 401k contributions, you’ll be able to receive full ownership of your employer’s matching contribution to your account.

In order to get more details on how your company is allocating funds, or making 401k contributions for you and other employees, it’s also a good idea to become a part of an employee committee. This will allow you to voice your opinions or concerns about the financial choices of the company in the right environment, and will help you to figure out the investment options for your company in a way that is easy to understand. In most cases, you can request that your employer cover 401k plan costs on behalf of the employees in order to increase participation and provide the beginnings of financial security for everyone involved.
