When you lease a car there are certain conditions which you must meet. There is a monthly fee which must be paid and in most cases you will have to also pay a deposit to secure against any damages. You will also have to stick within a specified mileage allowance and the car must be given back in good condition.

When the car lease contract expires it is time to return the vehicle to the car leasing company. A full inspection will be carried out on the car by the company when it has been returned. Depending on the outcome of the inspection, the company will inform you of whether or not you will be charged any fees. If you know where you could face extra charges, you can work on keeping these to a minimum.

You should find it relatively easy to prevent being charged for exceeding your mileage allowance. When you sign your contract at the beginning of the lease you should know the amount of mileage allowance that you have and work to stay within it. A customer would have to agree to the mileage limit set at the beginning of a contract and would have monthly payment amounts set accordingly. You will be charged a fee for every mile that you go over the limit so it is wise to keep an eye on this during the lease agreement.

The car should be returned in good condition. Returning the car in a condition outside the acceptable wear and tear will result in you being charged a fee. Knowing what the company considers to be beyond the acceptable amount of wear and tear at the beginning of the contract is a good idea. Getting the company to give you a description of how they expect the car to be returned in writing is a good idea. As long as you treat the car as if it were your own and look after it then you should be able to avoid any extra fees when you return the car.
